My friend had been longing for Hakka food, and today we finally had it. Three of us spent nearly 300 RMB 💰 and were very full. In the end, my friend mentioned that the preparation on the Salt Baked Roasted Shrimp 🦐 was different from before, so the waiter refunded it for us, bringing the actual cost to 244 RMB 💰.

Hakka Stuffed Tofu: Highly recommended 👍, a must-order!!! The ingredients are simple—tofu, pork, soybeans—but the taste is excellent. The tofu skin is charred while the center is tender. As the soup at the bottom bubbles, the tofu frantically absorbs the flavor—bubbling with happiness. The texture is multi-layered: skin, tofu heart, and pork 🐷 offer three different sensations. Whether eaten plain 👄 or with rice 🍚, it’s perfect 👍.
Traditional Hand-Shredded Salt Baked Chicken 🍗: We ordered a whole chicken for over 130 RMB 💰. Compared to other salt-baked chickens 🍗 I’ve had, this one has a slight medicinal herb flavor, but it’s not heavy or overpowering. It pairs unexpectedly well 😋. Not too salty, suitable for eating on its own—nice 😌.
Hot and Sour Fresh Bamboo Shoots with Stir-fried Stomach Shreds 🐷: I felt this dish was average, not as stunning as the first two. Overall, it’s sour and salty, good for pairing with rice 🍚. The stomach shreds act tender and chewy, while the bamboo shoots are on the crispy side. The texture felt vaguely strange to me, but the seasoning 👅 was okay—the sourness and saltiness were appropriate.
Salt Baked Roasted Shrimp 🦐: 59 RMB for 10 shrimp 🦐, a bit expensive. The taste resembles salt and pepper roasted shrimp 👀, but with less char and pepper aroma. The saltiness is controlled and not overpowering. It tastes good; I ate 4 of them, shell and meat together. The more you chew, the more fragrant it gets 👍. If you have the budget 💰, give it a try.

Tips: We got a complimentary soy-based dessert 🍮 for checking in. It was unexpectedly good, like a caramel pudding. We finished it shortly after it arrived—I recommend one for everyone.
