🍴 Dining Experience

I rushed there after work during the coldest time in Shenzhen. We ordered the 4-person set meal (298 RMB) and added a portion of Pani Puri, totally spending 💰 328 RMB. Overall verdict: If you haven’t had Indian food, give it a try; the value and taste are just average.

  • Roasted Chicken Chunks 🍗: Personally, I think this was the best dish of the meal 😋. The skin was slightly charred, but the meat inside was very tender, though the presentation was average. Writing this MOC some time later ⌛️, the taste is a bit blurry, but I recall a faint black pepper flavor—a must-order 🆚.

  • Pani Puri: You can order it out of curiosity, but likely won’t order it again. Inside the crispy ball is mashed potato 🥔, and the accompanying juice is made with mint, masala, and other spices. The taste 👅 is magical—a strange flavor I can’t describe. My colleague and I couldn’t accept it, but out of the principle of not wasting food, we forced ourselves to eat it. Not for me 👋.

  • Indian Fried Cauliflower 🥦: Average. At first, I thought it was roasted chicken as it looked and tasted very similar. The flavor was also quite average, like chicken nuggets from a random fast-food joint. Later I discovered it was cauliflower 🥦, and I was surprised 😺 that I tasted chicken in it.

  • Butter Naan: Delicious 😋. It tastes and looks more like scallion pancakes; it has flavor even when eaten plain. Paired with Bhuna Mutton Curry 🐑 and Butter Chicken Curry 🍛, the taste was run-of-the-mill. The curry flavor was new to me, less salty but with more spice aroma.

  • Green Peas Fried Rice: Personally liked the fried rice 😍. Made with Indian rice and green peas, the grains were distinct and the texture was good 😌; it also had some flavor on its own. We ate it with the Bhuna Mutton Curry 🐑 and Butter Chicken Curry 🍛. Since the curry 🍛 was just average, the overall experience was just okay.

Summary: A tangled dining experience 🍴. In my heart, I hoped it was authentic, yet also hoped it wasn’t 🤷. However, looking at the restaurant style and the staff, the guests seemed to be enjoying authentic Indian food.
