🍴 Dining Experience

Four of us ordered the Jiu Ding Signature Jianghu Cuisine 4-5 Person Set, spending 💰 301 RMB. Four grown men were stuffed, and there was still enough food left for at least 1-2 people. You need a certain tolerance for spicy food 🌶️. Not a single dish was a miss.

  • Spicy Chicken (La Zi Ji) 🍗: 👍👍👍. The Spicy Chicken 🐔 is delicious. You can tell it’s freshly fried—very dry and still scalding hot 👄 when served, but you can’t help the craving 😋. The fried chicken meat coats your entire mouth with the aroma of chili 🌶️ as soon as you eat it. The scent of Sichuan peppercorns spreads in your mouth as you chew 🦷. The chicken and chili blend perfectly at this moment, leaving only a numbing sensation on your lips.

  • Mao Xue Wang 🩸: 👍👍👍 Highly recommended. Served in a bowl 🥣 as big as a washbasin, the portion is huge. Covered with chili 🌶️, peppercorns, and sesame seeds, underneath lies duck blood, yellow throat (aorta), ham sausage, tripe, and chicken gizzard. Numbing, spicy, fresh, and fragrant—just looking at the picture tells you how well it goes with rice 🍚. A feast for the taste buds of spicy food lovers.

  • Twice-Cooked Pork 🥩: 👍👍 Good. Large pieces of green pepper 🫑 and pork belly 🥩 slices, stir-fried dry—very home-style. The flavor is salty 👅. When you eat it, the fat from the pork belly is very fragrant. Add a big mouthful of rice, and nothing more needs to be said—it’s all in the mouth 👄.

  • Mapo Tofu: 👍 Standard. To clarify, “standard” is comparing it to delicious Sichuan Mapo Tofu; it’s still better than other small shops. Personally, I feel this Mapo Tofu wasn’t numbing 🌶️ enough; it would be better with more numbing spice. The tofu was served later, and since our taste buds were already spoiled by the previous dishes, the tofu felt just average.

  • Stir-fried Seasonal Vegetables 🥬: 👍👍 A plate to cut the grease. It looks like ordinary stir-fried greens, but tastes quite good 😋. You can taste the fresh sweetness of the vegetables. They absorbed the flavor well, even the stems were tasty. We finished a big plate shortly after it was served, which says it all.

  • Pickled Vegetable and Broad Bean Soup 🫘: 👍👍 Unexpectedly good 😌. A simple soup with pickled vegetables and broad beans. It’s tasty and cuts the grease; both the beans and pickled vegetables are delicious 😋. If the soup hadn’t been too hot, I would have drunk another 2-3 bowls 🥣. Simple, inexpensive, delicious, and affordable.

  • Garlic Cucumber 🥒: 👍 Nice 😌. The cucumber 🥒 is crisp, and the seasoning is not bad—a sweet and sour style with some minced garlic. It looks a bit plain, but tastes quite good 😋.

Summary: Just eat it. A rice killer.
